Hello! I am Dr. Amanda Montoya, PT, DPT, PCS. I received my doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008 and began working at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where I worked in Outpatient, Inpatient Rehabilitation, the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic, and the Motion Analysis Lab from 2008- 2017. In 2013, I passed my board certification to become a pediatric specialist. I have had extensive experience in treating children with torticollis, plagiocephaly, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disease, Down Syndrome, and a variety of other orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses. In 2019, I began my own pediatric private practice and serve Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley. I am also a founder and past president of the non-profit organization Red Star Riders, providing adaptive tricycles for kids with disabilities.

I am dedicated to providing quality of care that is efficient, effective, and nurturing to a family’s specific needs, educates to support their child’s development, and provides the child with the best potential for future wellness. I began teaching tummy time and infant development classes after repetitively seeing patients in my practice for diagnoses that could have potentially been limited with introduction to early tummy time and movement. I developed these workshops for parents to experience ways to easily integrate tummy time and movement into their daily routine in order to optimize their developmental skills and promote gross motor, fine motor, sensory and visual development. I've seen first hand with my own two babies and in my practice, that when a baby loves moving, playing and learning on the floor, the experience and connection during the first years will completely change for the better!

I live in Ventura County, CA with my husband, two kids, and doggie and we can be found at the beach, camping, swimming, or busy with some new project (current one is extreme fort building in the backyard!).
